• A staggering 40% of Israeli children live below the poverty line, accounting for 800,000 children! That means 2 out of every 5 Israeli children are suffering from hunger!
   
• 20% of Israel's elderly live in poverty, accounting for 180,000 elderly!
   
• Israel although being a technologically-advanced modern nation has a larger percentage of poor than countries we commonly consider 3rd world, such as Mexico and Turkey! That makes Israel one of the highest ranking developed nations in the world with such a large pecentage of its population living in poverty!
